A song I wrote for my Dad. It speaks of the bush I grew up in, where I took it all for granted. Now my forest has been replaced by houses. My stream is gone. My Dad hand cleared the site and built our home pretty much single handed as he supported a family of four children. Coming to Canada after WW2 provided many Englishmen with opportunities they would never have had at home in the UK.
I appreciate the childhood that my parents gave to me, the freedom to breathe and to be me.
